If that game was off the board, Wisconsin would also serve as a fair opponent for the Penn State White Out. USC would be the best game in my opinion, it would be great to welcome Trojan fans to Beaver Stadium. The Nittany Lions host Wisconsin, Purdue, Rutgers, USC, and Minnesota in 2026. Years of tradition are involved in this matchup in what could be Matt Rhule vs. Hypothetically that might be the Oregon game, so if the White Out isn’t against Oregon, it would be great to have the event against Nebrasak. Depending on the AP Poll rankings at the time, Big Noon will take the top matchup. Penn State will host Indiana, Nebraska, Northwestern, and Oregon. In 2025 the options are a little less attractive. Welcoming a new conference opponent with the greatest environment in college sports, sign me up. So, if it isn’t against Ohio State then Washington would be my preferred game. While a few Onward State folks were in Willard Building covering College GameDay, two Auburn fans with beers in hand wandered through the halls and asked me for directions to the nearest bathroom. My interactions with Auburn fans were pretty good, too. I mean, just take a look at how much orange we’ve got in this full-stadium shot. I don’t have any exact numbers, but Tigers fans showed up in droves to support their team, and it was pretty damn cool. Saturday night was all about Penn State fans and the White Out, but you’ve got to give the Auburn faithful a hand, too. Either way, it’s a gutsy play call, and Penn State’s new-look offense is undeniably exciting after a few so-so seasons. Although the referees ruled Penn State short, it looked like the Nittany Lions had enough juice to cross the line to gain. I almost fell over in the bleachers (out of excitement!) when Penn State dialed up a fake punt midway through the game.
