It is the only working farm still in existence on the Delaware River between Camden and Trenton. The Taylor farm has been in the family for over 300 years. We have lived in Burlington County our entire lives and have never ventured back here. Trying to find new areas to hike during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Hubby and I decided to take the pampered-poodle on a walk through Taylor Wildlife Preserve and Farm. While there, you can check out their current art exhibit upstairs if the room is not being used for classes. According to the receptionist, nine more sculptures are planned for the future and will be placed around Groover’s Mill. ![]() They also sell a Grover Mills Coffee House t-shirt with an Alien on it drinking a cup of coffee as well as a postcard.□ (Every Halloween the Coffee House broadcasts on a local radio station, a recreation of the original Orson Welles War of the Worlds broadcast.) Our final stop was the West Windsor Arts Center, 952 Alexander Road, Princeton Junction, to see their alien sculpture. Inside, you’ll find a collection of memorabilia from the War of the Worlds, free internet, and a nice menu of soups, sandwiches and sweets. Next stop was the Grover Mills Coffee House located at 335 Princeton Hightstown Road, West Windsor. Not marked and not visible from the trail! (Park’s restrooms were very clean and nice.) At the end of the trail, you will need to walk out to your left, onto the grass field where you will find the bronze monument nestled in between two large shrubs. ![]() On the trail, the Boy Scouts have erected several informational signs regarding the war of the Worlds broadcast in 1938 by Orson Welles. Park in the parking lot and follow the asphalt trail leading back to the pond. Our GPS located it in Princeton Junction. Van Nest Park is located in the town next to Princeton.
